Obituary of Carolyn K. Reilly

Carolyn K. Reilly, 71, of Hunter’s Run, Dexter, died and went to heaven on July 1, 2016, at SMC surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 20, 1944 in Worth, NY to Willard and Hilda Sawyer Waite. Carolyn worked at Chapin Watermatics Inc for several years, she was a dedicated homemaker and a loving mother. She married Roy Reilly on May 14th, 1983 at the Sulpher Springs United Methodist Church. Roy passed away November 18, 2015. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Watertown. She loved to listen to music at the Ham Jam sessions, at the Evan’s Mills Fire Hall, American Legions, Watertown VFW and the Black River Fiddlers. She loved to garden and visit with relatives and friends. Her visits will be missed by her family and friends. Calling hours and service will be on July 17th at the Honeyville Baptist Church, 13210 Fuller Road, Adams Center, NY for both Carolyn and Roy. The calling hours will be from 2 pm to 3 pm with a Celebration of Life service held at 3 pm. Internment of Carolyn’s and Roy’s ashes will be in Rodman after the service. Following the interment, family and friends are invited to a dinner back at the church. She is survived by a son, Brian (Elizabeth) Baxter, Watertown; a daughter, Sara Boyd, Watertown; two sisters, Mary (Jim) Dopkins, Ontario, Canada, and Janice Riordan, Gouverneur, NY; two brothers, Amos Waite, and Jerry Waite, both of Watertown; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Donna Waite and Laura Smith, and a brother Sonny Waite died before her. Memorial donations maybe given in her memory to American Cancer Society.
